Old town spoils and flip out incident

So we went to this shop where the people were dressed like in colonial times. It looked cool and a cool shop.

There were these great sticker books that we bought for my nephews James, Bruce and Pedro and Yero's children, as well as one book for research for design for Ken's movie and a b-day gift for Joanne.

Then we saw this beautifully illustrated book. It was kinda pricey. I didn't see any signs so out of courtesy we asked if we could take a picture of the book. This elder lady said we could take a picture of the atmosphere but not any particular merchandise. We aren't here for that. Ok, so I said I'll just write down the name of the book and author and artist in my phone. Then she made this typing gesture, saying "We aren't here to for you to be taking down ISBN numbers!" I repeated " ISBN numbers?" She said; " What are you going to do with the it?" I said it is to remind and I might be coming back later. She then proceeded to say that "Ok i'll be expecting you back here then."
Very rude, very condescending and totally responding would be a waste of time. I kept me cool, yet I was perturbed because she had no right to talk to us that way.
  • I could have come back for it later, it is not up to her
  • She totally wanted to control my spending and my actions
  • She ain't gonna get it, nobody does that to me, not anymore
Afterward, she didn't realize I was actually going to buy more than 16 bucks of merchandise and she felt sorry and I believe ashamed of her reaction because she could not look me in the eye. She gave us this coupon for Fish Tacos the best in town. I took it and she said "Thanks for understanding." We never used that card because it was tainted. And she assumed that I understood. I don't. She should have apologized, but in my life I realized that there are sociopaths who are waste of my time and they are going to have to deal with their issues on their own. Yeah economy is tough, but not that tough.
