My birthday present...at the glass shop

SR bought me this pair of sea lions, my favorite animal, heck one of the reasons for going to SD, for my birthday. They were gorgeous and brilliant. Thanks, dear. The lady said she would wrap them up nicely so that nothing would happen to them on the flight back. She bubble wrapped them pretty thick , but only in one direction. When I got back to the hotel I was freaking out because the nose of the big one was exposed, so I tore some of the bubble wrap and placed it there and held it together with a blue rubber band we got from our underwater camera.

The lady saw SR's name on her card and told her it was beautiful. I told her to tell her what it means, and she hesitated. We said it was kinda cheesy. She really wanted to know so SR told it means successful in love. The merchant put on a deadly serious face and said that it not cheesy at all, dear. Don't ever think that. She told her she was beautiful too. We walked away pretty impressed. Here are some other samples of the work they have there. Excellent glass blowing.
