It took about an hour on the phone to get the internet to work. Although we did a lot of planning we could not do everything and we needed access for places to go and directions. La Estancia La Jolla said that we get free Wi-Fi but there was no connection. I was freaking out. I called the front desk and they connected me to tech support. I believe I was talking to some girl in India. So after awhile it came down to connecting the ethernet cable and BOOM! connection. Sweet.
There was also this nifty safe which would close once you slid your credit cart from left to right. I called the front desk and they said that it was no charge, just to use to identify. I know, sounds shady, but SR will be checking her card for any obscene charges. It was really nice to have though. We kept unneeded cards and money and junk in there. Below it was the fridge we used for rations. SR wisely mentioned that we shouldn't spend so much on the hotel food, so we collected scraps and put them in there. It was awesome.
