Toru 3.5D: Seeing Thor before America does...

We had the privelege to see Thor before America does. I heard American movies are released earlier in Korea because they make bootlegs real quick, so sending the movie there first would counteract that.
Take a look at the Korean characters used to spell out "Thor". There are 2 of them. "토르".
When SR's family asked me what movie I wanted to see I said "Thor". And her  were like, "Huh? What movie is that?" Then I replied jokingly "Thoru", (thinking of the way they pronounce "Hulk=Holku"), thinking they would still have no idea. And her sister was like "Ahhh Toru! Yes" And her husband said "Hammer" as he did a swinging motion". I couldn't believed that worked!

SR and Toh-Ru

SR's gracious friend Hei Rim treated us again. We watched it in 3.5D, meaning we had 3D glasses and the chair would vibrate during action scenes. (4D is all that plus wind that gets shot out as well as mist from holes behind the back of your head in the chair! And the chair moves more "violently") The movie was pretty good. (Minor Spoilers?), Effects were really good. The rainbow bridge was of good design. Chris Helmsworth was decent.
I thought Natalie Portman was overacting way too much, but I leave that to either the fault of the direction or the editing because that girl can act subtle if she wants to.  I thought some things could have been better, but some overall good story beats but not as good as the ones in Iron Man. Yet there was some good lessons with a mythic quality in there. Someone is going to have to explain the post credit scene to me though.
Also interesting to note that at each movie they have these movie foldouts of each movie. They are pretty cool and they are free!
