Haleakala Summit Sunrise

We woke up at 2:30 am to check out of the hotel. Got to the top of Haleakala Summit. This was taken at 5:11am. We are waiting for the 5:38am sunrise.
A few days ago SR got stung by a bee.
I call her Stung Ryen.
She laughed.
We missed our hula lesson.
Then she got sick the day we went to Hana.
We could only make it halfway.
Then we had to turn back.
At least we did some great snorkeling.
It was very cold up here.
It was like the forties.
I said without thinking; "Malamig!"
Some people turned around. Probably Filipinos.
I lent SR my socks to wear. She thought she looked very "unfashionable".
She lent me her scarf.
She bought me this windbreaker. But she was sick so she gets to wear it today.
I don't care if I get sick. We need this sunrise.
Behind us was the moon. Weird, huh.
We waited and waited. But there were clouds blocking our view.
SR was tired and cold.
We missed the Hula, and Hana and I didn't want to miss the Haleakala sunrise.
10 more minutes, dear.
Please.
Were we destined to not see fulfillment?
What's the deal, man.
I mean, c'mon.
But wait, look!
Something was happening.
Patience
little
lady
perhaps if we endure
Just a little longer
We can catch a break
or perhaps
we can let the break
catch
us
boom.
Glorious.
Worth the wait.
Definitely
worth
it
Goodness.
(gasp)
So
Happy
Peek-a-boom!
